Is your partner attractive? The answer to this question is something you know at a gut level. Is your partner compatible? Chances are you hem and haw before answering this question. You're not quite sure. You feel you need feedback of some sort: maybe a quizz from some magazine, or astrological charts, or even an evaluation from an objective third party? To overcome the sense of insecurity about whether or not you and your partner are compatible, it helps to keep in mind what it is we're talking about. Compatibility means you'll be able to be together "for better or worse" - - enjoy the good moments together, as well as face the difficult moments with a sense of working together as opposed to against each other. How do you determine this ahead of time? Start right now to discuss issues with your partner. All too often, people shy away from discussions, feeling that this will come "later". So you train each other to stay in the dark! If you're wondering whether or not you're compatible, chances are you haven't discussed enough! Discussing need not be heavy ("We-Need-To-Have-A-Talk"). Needless to say, there's going to be some degree of nervousness as you jump into it, but, the more you do it, the better it gets (otherwise, it's a sign that the two of you may actually not be that compatible).
