I'm sending you a picture of me and my daughter Lily during one
of our first ever visits. Her mother and I were never married
and my family and I were not allowed to see her until she was
almost 3 months old. I have successfully represented myself in
court about 10 times and now have weekly visits every Tuesday
and Thursday and every other Sunday. I will be going back for
more time soon. She is now 10 months old and we have a wonderful
relationship but it is bittersweet as her mother is hell-bent
on cutting me out of the picture (false accusations, willful visitation
interference and the like). I am thankful for what I have and
wish the best for and offer my support to all of the parents and
grandparents seeking active roles in the lives of their children
and grandchildren.
